M...I totally feel your pain, and I have been there.

My stepson (now age 14) has some behavioral and developmental issues that have really taken a toll on my sanity. I have spent many a fantasy wondering what my (and my daughters) life would be like if I turned in the towel and left. At times, I honestly think things would be better, and at other times I'm not so sure. After my hubby and I married, I went through the deepest depression I had ever experienced rife with anxiety, sadness and even thought of suicide...Looking back, a lot of it had to do with dealing with my new son and all of his issues, wondering what the hell I had done to my daughters life and wondering if things would ever get better. Luckily, I held out, and things are getting better. I stopped taking antidepressants about 6 months ago (after 5 years) and i feel better now than i have in a very long time...Hang in there!Roxanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02242513416257644429noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2765587457303011207.post-2075679437495789752009-01-06T17:08:00.000-05:002009-01-06T17:08:00.000-05:00Mike - Good advice. But, if a doctor thought I did, I don't want to not do something that would help everyone in the house.Lynn C Mama to 3https://www.blogger.com/profile/05342036087073401778noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2765587457303011207.post-65136723339246334932009-01-06T13:26:00.000-05:002009-01-06T13:26:00.000-05:00There is nothing wrong with drugs, but don't belie...There is nothing wrong with drugs, but don't believe you need them. I could be wrong though, I only see you a few days at a time. If you're serious about it, make a doctor's appointment. Any doc can prescribe them, and sometimes, for some people small dosages for a short period of time can get the chemicals back in balance.Tuffyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09299240876291034105noreply@blogger.com
